The State Administration of Work Safety required that the three key links of dust prevention and control facilities, occupational health monitoring and personal protective equipment should be firmly grasped to urge enterprises to carry out comprehensive control of dust hazards and improve the working environment and conditions. We must hold fast to the problems detected and see them through to the end. Enterprises with serious hazards such as excessive dust levels will be ordered to stop production for rectification, while those that fail to do so will be asked to close down by local governments in accordance with the law. For enterprises that have stopped production, the occupational health conditions in their workplaces must meet the requirements of relevant state regulations and standards before resuming production, otherwise they are not allowed to resume production. All illegal asbestos mining and ore dressing enterprises discovered during the inspection shall be closed down according to law.
